The Contributions Committee is on a mission to cultivate a thriving community of givers.

Who we are

We represent nearly 15 cohorts who bring their voice into our work of sustaining and growing the Long Grey Line.

Why do we do it?

Tuition dollars alone can't create the life changing experience we have as students and alumni, so we raise awareness and money:

To ensure our student population is diverse. Giving those who can't afford this program an opportunity to learn from it, and others to learn from them. (through the Founders Scholarship)

To enhance our curriculum. Allowing for latest research and important topics impacting today's organizations to be brought to the foreground such as DEI efforts. (through the Directors Excellence Fund)

To expand our reach. Supporting our faculty, who have given so much to us, through their research which creates more exposure for our program and helps drive the change we want to see in organizations. (through the Faculty Research Fund)

What we do

We strategize ways to support past, present and future MSOD students by reimagining what giving can look like. Join us in making a commitment to creating a better world with not only money, but by participating participating in community events, and sharing your personal gifts as a speaker or event organizer.

As a committee, we partner with leaders in the MSOD Alumni Council to:

  • Create and promote opportunities for knowledge sharing

  • Design and manage sponsorship programs

  • Promote contribution opportunities to three funds: Founder’s Scholarship, Director’s Excellence, Faculty Research

What we can achieve is only limited by our dreaming, so we always welcome new voices and perspectives to our committee to help shape the future.

  • Absolutely! All gifts to UCLA Spark campaigns are tax-deductible. Please note, sometimes if you receive a cool perk (such as a super awesome T-shirt) that has a fair market price and, following UCLA policy guidelines, the cost of that shirt is deducted from your total tax deductible amount.

For your records, UCLA’s federal taxpayer ID number for gifts to the UCLA Foundation is 95-2250801. Please visit the UCLA Foundation disclosures site for additional information.
